On page 86 of the amendment, line 24, after "(ii)" strike all material through "concern" on line 27 and insert "other safety tug services dispatched by the United States coast guard captain of the port for Puget Sound or the department under protocols developed by the department. The department may enter into an agreement with the United States coast guard to make available funds for the dispatching of safety tug services under this section"
On page 87 of the amendment, at the beginning of line 3, strike all material through "Bay." on line 4
EFFECT: Specifies that the Department of Ecology may enter into an agreement with the United States Coast Guard to provide funds for safety tug services; specifies that safety tug services may only be dispatched according to criteria developed by the Department of Ecology; and, removes the directive that the Governor request federal funding for a dedicated rescue tug at Neah Bay.
