     On page 71, after line 17, insert the following:

     "(5) During the 2001-03 fiscal biennium, the department shall not expend any funds provided in this section to enforce rules dealing with musculoskeletal disorders unless the federal department of labor adopts rules dealing with musculoskeletal disorders."

EFFECT:  Prohibits the state Department of Labor and Industries from expending funds to enforce state ergonomics rules during the 2001-03 biennium unless the federal government adopts ergonomics rules.

FISCAL EFFECT:  None.
