     On page 4, after line 37, insert the following:

ANEW SECTION. Sec. 4.  A new section is added to chapter 72.40 RCW to read as follows:

     The Washington school for the deaf shall collaborate with the department of social and health services to obtain or provide interpreter services for public assistance applicants and recipients who are deaf or hard of hearing.@

     Correct the title.

EFFECT: Requires the Washington school for the deaf to collaborate with the DSHS to obtain or provide interpreter services for public assistance applicants or recipients who are deaf or hard of hearing.
