    On page 2, line 28, after "process" insert ".  Any beneficial interest must be disclosed to the patient, subject, or volunteer participating in human subject research or when DNA is obtained from a person for purposes of the research"

EFFECT:  Even in cases where a conflict of interest is managed by the university pursuant to federal law, the researcher would have to disclose the beneficial interest to the research subject or person from whom the researcher took the DNA.
