    On page 1, line 17, after "ordinance." insert "The department of transportation, in cooperation with a local government employing automated traffic enforcement systems, may use traffic safety cameras at railroad crossings, red-light controlled intersections, and construction zones.  The department may use automated traffic enforcement systems only in cooperation with a local government using those systems.  The department may not use traffic safety cameras on the interstate highway system."

EFFECT:  Prohibits the use of traffic safety cameras on the interstate highway system.
