    On page 81, after line 35, insert the following:

    "(16) $10,200,000 of the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 2003 is provided solely to maintain pharmacy reimbursement rates at the level in effect as of January 1, 2002."

    On page 212, after line 28, insert the following:

    "NEW SECTION. Sec. 709.  A new section is added to 2001 2nd sp.s. c 7 (uncodified) to read as follows:

CONSULTING CONTRACTS.  The director of financial management shall reduce allotments from general fund‑-state appropriations in this act for the 2001-2003 biennium by $10,200,000 to reflect a twenty five percent reduction of expenditures on personal service contracts from fiscal year 2001.  The amount of the allotment reduction shall be placed in reserve status."

    Renumber the sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: Provides $10.2 million to maintain pharmacy reimbursement rates at current level.  Deletes $10.2 million by reducing consulting contract expenditures.
