    On page 28, after line 32, insert the following:

    "(39) $1,000,000 of the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 2003 is provided solely for tourism marketing activities."

    On page 212, after line 28, insert the following:

    "NEW SECTION. Sec. 709.  A new section is added to 2001 2nd sp.s. c 7 (uncodified) to read as follows:

LEGISLATIVE MAILINGS.  The director of financial management shall reduce allotments from general fund‑-state appropriations in this act for the 2001-2003 biennium by $1,000,000 to reflect a reduction in legsislators' mailing budgets.  The amount of the allotment reduction shall be placed in reserve status."

    Renumber the sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: Restores $1 million for tourism marketing.  Deletes $1 million from legislative mailings.
