    On page 1, line 9, after "services" strike "that exceeds one hundred eighty days" and insert "unless a public hearing is held and findings of fact are made thirty days before its adoption"

    On page 1, line 10, after "renewed" strike "up to an additional one hundred eighty days"

    On page 1, line 11, after "if" strike ":  (a) The" and insert "the"

    On page 1, line 12, after "facilities" strike all material through "period" on line 17

EFFECT:  (1) The amendment allows a local government to place a moratorium or interim zoning control on personal wireless facilities if a public hearing is held and findings of fact are made 30 days before its adoption.  The language limiting moratoria and interim zoning controls to 180 days is removed.

    (2) The amendment allows a local government to renew a moratorium or interim zoning control if it consults with the affected companies seeking to locate personal wireless facilities.  The language limiting renewals to 180 days and requiring the consent of affected companies  is removed.

    (3) The amendment removes language that prohibits a local government from placing more than one moratoria or interim zoning control every five years.
