Background:  Under current law, individuals may volunteer in public schools, subject to local school district and school policies.

 

Summary of Bill:  School districts must provide notice to the community, targeted to senior citizens, regarding volunteer opportunities available at schools within the district.

Fiscal Note:  Not requested.

 

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
