Background:  School districts annually provide school district employee data to the Superintendent of Public Instruction (SPI).   Data include employee program assignment, duties, average salary, and benefits.  Such data collection is not required for contract workers.

 

Summary of Substitute Bill: When a school district or educational service district contracts for services that have been previously performed by classified school employees, the contractor must provide the same employee information to SPI on the contracted employees as the school district or educational service district provides.

 

Substitute Bill Compared to Original Bill:  The original bill was not considered.

 

Appropriation:  None.

 

Fiscal Note:  Not requested.

 

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
