Title:  An act relating to supervisors at the department of natural resources.

Background:  The Department of Natural Resources is directed by a supervisor and the position is established in law.  The supervisor serves at the pleasure of the Commissioner of Public Lands.  Giving the Commissioner of Public Lands the flexibility to appoint one or more than one person to this position would clarify the law.

 

Summary of Bill:  The term ?supervisor@ means one or more supervisors of the Department of Natural Resources.

 

Appropriation:  None.

 

Fiscal Note:  Not requested.

 

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.

 

Testimony For:  This will give the commissioner more flexibility to manage the department.
