Background:  The state of Washington places a high priority on the avoidance of the closure of any military bases located in the state.  In order to facilitate this objective, the state supports privatization of the infrastructure supporting these bases.  The state brings to bear the Joint Committee on Veterans' and Military Affairs and the newly created Legislative Military Facilities Task Force for the accomplishment of this purpose.

 

Summary of Bill:  The President, Congress and the Secretary of Defense are asked to assure the full and prompt participation of the United States military with the Legislative Military Facilities Task Force.
