HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 2002-4714, by Representatives Roach, Ahern, Esser, Ericksen, Barlean, Holmquist, Casada, Clements, Jarrett, Armstrong, Talcott, Mitchell, Carrell, Schmidt, Skinner, Cox, Nixon, Pflug, Anderson, Morell, Orcutt, Pearson and Schindler

 

     WHEREAS, It is the policy of the Washington State Legislature to recognize and honor the contributions of individuals and organizations that enhance the quality of life of the citizens of our state; and

     WHEREAS, The efforts of our youth to volunteer their time and efforts to confront problems facing their peers should be encouraged; and

     WHEREAS, A group of students from King and Pierce County high schools have joined together to form the 31st District Student Methamphetamine Advisory Board; and

     WHEREAS, This Student Board will advocate to prevent methamphetamine drug abuse and manufacture within their respective high schools and local community;

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Washington State House of Representatives recognize the formation of the 31st District Student Methamphetamine Advisory Board; and

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be immediately transmitted by the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives to the members of the 31st District Student Methamphetamine Advisory Board and 31st District high school principals.
