_1      AN ACT Relating to the sale of thoroughbred horses; and adding

_2  a new section to chapter 82.04 RCW.

_3  BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

_4      NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 82.04

_5  RCW to read as follows:

_6      This chapter does not apply to amounts received by owners for

_7  the sale of thoroughbred race horses purchased through claim at

_8  racing meets held in the state of Washington.  The claim purchase

_9  must comply with the claiming provisions adopted by the horse

10  racing commission.
