SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 8427

State of Washington 57th Legislature 2002 Regular Session

WHEREAS, Pursuant to RCW 44.05.100 and Article II, section 43 of the state Constitution, the Washington State Redistricting Commission, on December 17, 2001, submitted to the legislature a plan for the redistricting of state legislative districts; and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to RCW 44.05.100, the legislature desires to amend the boundaries of legislative districts eighteen and forty-nine, involving 391 people of 120,290 in district eighteen, and 212 people of 120,288 in district forty-nine; and
WHEREAS, These amendments include less than two percent of the population of each of the affected legislative districts as required by law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Senate of the State of Washington, the House of Representatives concurring, That the plan for legislative redistricting approved and submitted by the Washington State Redistricting Commission on December 17, 2001, be amended as follows:
(1) LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT 18 TO LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT 49:
(a) On page 222, after "Block 2989, Block 2999," strike all material through "Block 2013,"
(b) On page 489, after "410.07," insert "410.08,"
(c) On page 493, after "Block 2997," strike all material through "Block 2024," and insert "Block 2998."
(2) LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT 49 TO LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT 18:
(a) On page 490, after "Block 1001," strike "Block 4024, Block 4025,"
(b) On page 205, after "Tract 406.06; Block Group 4," insert "Tract 409.04; Block Group 4,"
(c) On page 219, after "Block 1008," strike all material through "Block 4026,"
