HB 1038 - DIGEST

     Directs the department of licensing to provide a line on the back side of each driver's license labeled "emergency contact information," with sufficient space for a licensee to fill in a name and telephone number.

     Directs the department to notify the recipients of drivers' licenses either orally or in writing at the time of the issuance of the license of the existence of the line and shall notify the recipients that the purpose of the line is to allow licensees to fill in the name and telephone number of a person that the recipient would like contacted in the case of an emergency.
