HB 1288 - DIGEST

     Requires the department to attempt to place a child removed from his or her family home into a foster care placement that is within the child's school district.

     Provides that, if a child is placed in foster care in a setting outside of the child's home county, and that child acts in a manner that requires detention in a county financed juvenile detention facility, the department shall reimburse the county for the cost of detention.
