HB 1399 - DIGEST

     Provides that, through the future teachers conditional scholarship program, the board may grant a conditional scholarship to a student who meets the following requirements:

     (1) Meets state residency requirements as defined by RCW 28B.15.012 and 28B.15.013; and

     (2) Either has a declared intention to complete an approved preparation program leading to teacher certification with an endorsement in bilingual education or English as a second language or is a teacher who is seeking an additional endorsement in bilingual education or English as a second language.
