HB 1839 - DIGEST

     Provides that allocation of state matching funds to eligible districts for local effort assistance shall be determined as follows: maintenance and operation levy requests that received an affirmative vote from a majority but fewer than three-fifths of the voters voting on the ballot proposition during the prior tax collection year shall be matched with state funds.  Matching funds may be provided for the amount of time sought by the levy request.
