HB 1963 - DIGEST

     Provides that development regulations to protect critical areas or amendments to such development regulations become effective when approved by the department of fish and wildlife and the department of ecology.  At least sixty days before final adoption, each county or city shall submit these development regulations to the department of ecology and the department of fish and wildlife for review and approval.

     Requires the department of ecology and the department of fish and wildlife to develop a joint program for public review of and comment on proposed development regulations to protect critical areas.
