HCR 4401-S - DIGEST

     Resolves that a joint select committee on the disposal of derelict vessels be established to review the current duties and responsibilities of vessel owners, the department of natural resources, and federal agencies regarding derelict vessels; to develop recommendations on measures that may help prevent the abandonment of derelict vessels; and to develop recommendations for the disposal and for funding the disposal of derelict vessels.

     Requires the committee to report its findings and recommendations to the legislature by January 1, 2002.
