HCR 4412-S - DIGEST

(DIGEST OF PROPOSED 1ST SUBSTITUTE)

     Resolves that a joint select committee on local jail facility be established to review alternatives to address capacity needs through local jails and regional jails, review funding options to address construction of new facilities and modernization of outdated and decaying jails, and review funding options for the cost of operating jail facilities.

     Resolves that the committee report its findings and recommendations to the Legislature at the regular session held in 2003.
