SB 5110 - DIGEST

     Declares that ephedrine products may only be sold in packages with counts of forty-eight or less.

     Provides that no retailer may knowingly sell to a single customer, in any twenty-four hour period, more than three packages of a product containing ephedrine in counts of forty-eight or less per package or containing a total weight of more than three grams of ephedrine per package.

     Provides that no customer may purchase or acquire, in any twenty-four hour period, more than three packages of a product containing ephedrine in counts of forty-eight or less per package or containing a total weight of more than three grams of ephedrine per package.

     Declares that no person my possess more than fifteen grams of ephedrine.

     Provides that a person convicted of violating this act is guilty of a gross misdemeanor punishable by a fine of no more than five thousand dollars, imprisonment of no more than one year, or by both fine and imprisonment.
