SB 5170 - DIGEST

(SUBSTITUTED FOR - SEE 2ND SUB)

     Requires the joint task force on telework enhancement to meet during the interim and report back to the legislature by December 1, 2001.  The report to the senate and house of representatives must include, but is not limited to, analysis and recommendations on the following:

     (1) Innovative information technologies,  including collaborative software and videoconferencing;

     (2)  The impact of telework on the transportation system;

     (3)  Successful rural telework efforts; and

     (4)  Employers that have operations and attributes that would naturally benefit from telework.
