SB 5220 - DIGEST

(AS OF SENATE 2ND READING 3/08/01)

     Directs the University of Washington, under the direction of Dr. George Kraft, to administer a survey of Washington state citizens suffering from multiple sclerosis, that is designed to assess possible causal factors, needs, and functional characteristics of the disease.  Priority shall be on statistically significant populations in eastern Washington.

     Appropriates the sum of fifty thousand dollars, or as much thereof as may be necessary, for the biennium ending June 30, 2003, from the general fund to the University of Washington for the purposes of administering the survey under this act.
