SB 5328 - DIGEST

     Provides that, if a student does not take the reading component of the fourth grade Washington assessment of student learning, then the student's score shall not count against the school district or school and shall not be used when determining the percentage of students who meet or exceed the reading standard or the percentage of improvement toward the district-wide or school reading goal.

     Provides that, if a student does not take the mathematics component of the fourth grade Washington assessment of student learning, then the student's score shall not count against the school district or school and shall not be used when determining the percentage of students who meet or exceed the mathematics standard or the percentage of improvement toward the district-wide or school mathematics goal.

     Provides that, if a student does not take the mathematics component of the seventh grade Washington assessment of student learning, then the student's score shall not count against the school district or school and shall not be used when determining the percentage of students who meet or exceed the reading standard or the percentage of improvement toward the district-wide or school mathematics goal.
