SB 5392 - DIGEST

(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

     Authorizes petitions to be heard before a judicial officer, sitting without a jury.

     Declares that for the purposes of this act, the term "judicial officer" means:  (1) A judge;

     (2) A superior court commissioner of a unified family court if the county operates a unified family court; or

     (3) Any superior court commissioner if the county does not operate a unified family court.  The term does not include a judge pro tempore.
