SB 5634 - DIGEST

     Declares that every person is guilty of a gross misdemeanor who:

     (1) Solicits or procures signatures for an initiative or referendum petition if he or she is not a resident of the state as defined in RCW 29.01.140 and at least eighteen years of age; or

     (2) Fails to wear a badge identifying him or her as a paid signature solicitor when required by this act; or

     (3) Wears a badge identifying him or her as an unpaid volunteer signature solicitor under this act when he or she is compensated for soliciting or procuring signatures under this act; or

     (4) Solicits or procures signatures for an initiative or referendum petition without having attached to it a properly executed affidavit as required by this act.
