SB 6085 - DIGEST

     Provides that all liquor enforcement officers initially employed on or after the effective date of this act shall, as a condition of continued employment, engage in basic law enforcement officer training provided by the criminal justice training commission.

     Provides that liquor enforcement officers employed prior to the effective date of this act shall attend and successfully complete an equivalency basic law enforcement training program developed by the criminal justice training commission under this act.

     Provides that liquor enforcement officers who are required to carry firearms or other weapons in the course of their duties shall be issued those weapons by the liquor control board at no expense to individual liquor enforcement officers.
