EFFECT: Amends the provision governing allocation of fault among entities who are responsible for the plaintiff's injuries as follows:

•Removes the restriction that only claimants, defendants and third-party defendants who are parties to the action may be allocated a portion of the fault for the claimant's injuries.

•Replaces the reference to "entities released by the claimant" with a reference to "entities who have entered into a release, covenant not to sue, covenant not to enforce judgment, or similar agreement with the claimant," so that fault will be allocated to any of these entities that may have caused the claimant's damages.
