On page 4, beginning on line 7 of the striking amendment, strike everything after "act." through "RCW." on line 10.

On page 5, line 16, strike everything after "Sec. 3." and insert "This act takes effect January 1, 2005."

EFFECT: Allows the increased levy base to be used to calculate levy equalization allocations to school districts beginning January 1, 2005, a year earlier than the striking amendment. Increases fiscal year 2005 state costs by $6 million ($11 million for calendar year 2005).
