On page 1, line 8, after "organizations" insert ", regardless of denomination"

On page 2, after line 11, insert the following:

"(4) By January 1, 2005, and annually for the four years thereafter, the department shall report to the appropriate committees of the legislature on the activities of the liaisons, including identification of the community-based and faith-based organizations served."

EFFECT:

Provides that the liaisons designated by the Department of Social and Health Services are to serve community-based and faith-based organizations, regardless of denomination.

Requires that by January 1, 2005, and annually for the four years thereafter, the Department of Social and Health Services report to the appropriate committees of the Legislature on the activities of the liaisons, including identification of the community-based and faith-based organizations served.
