On page 3, line 22, after "chapter." insert "The terms "natural areas" and "natural area preserves" does not include important bird areas recognized under this chapter."

   On page 3, line 34, strike "These sites are then eligible to be considered under this chapter."

EFFECT: Prohibits important bird areas from being considered natural areas under the Department of Natural Resources' natural heritage program.
