On page 4, at the beginning of line 3, insert the following:

"(c) If premiums are insufficient to fund the association and insurers are assessed, assessed insurers may take a dollar-for-dollar credit against any premium tax falling due under chapter 48.14 RCW. The credit may be taken the same year that the insurer is assessed."

Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct internal references accordingly.

EFFECT: Authorizes an insurer that pays an assessment to take a dollar-for-dollar credit against premium taxes the same year the insurer is assessed.
