On page 6, after line 25 of the amendment, insert the following:

"(4) If insurers are assessed, assessed insurers may take a dollar-for-dollar credit against any premium tax falling due under chapter 48.14 RCW. The credit may be taken the same year that the insurer is assessed."

EFFECT: Authorizes an insurer that pays an assessment to take a dollar-for-dollar credit against premium taxes the same year the insurer is assessed.
