   On page 5 of the amendment, line 16, after "authority." strike all material through "approval" on line 18 and insert "Approval of the single ballot measure to approve the plan, establish the authority, and approve the taxes requires an affirmative vote of the majority of the total persons voting within each fire protection jurisdiction that participates in the election"

EFFECT: Requires approval by a majority of the voters in each of the participating fire protection jurisdictions in order to create a new regional fire protection authority.
