   On page 2, after line 13, insert the following:

   "(4) Money received under this section shall be used solely for criminal justice purposes. For the purposes of this subsection, "criminal justice purposes" means additional police protection, mitigation of congested court systems, or relief of overcrowded jails or other local correctional facilities."

EFFECT: Requires that revenues received from a sales tax that is imposed be used for certain criminal justice purposes related to police, the court system, or jails or other local correctional facilities.
