On page 38, line 14, increase the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 2004 by $159,000 and adjust the totals accordingly.

 

On page 38, line 15, increase the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 2005 by $429,000 and adjust the totals accordingly.

 

On page 38, line 16, increase the general fund--federal appropriation by $588,000 and adjust the totals accordingly.

 

On page 40, line 4, increase the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 2004 by $775,000 and adjust the totals accordingly.

 

On page 40, line 5, increase the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 2005 by $2,835,000 and adjust the totals accordingly.

 

On page 40, line 6, increase the general fund--federal appropriation by $5,476,000 and adjust the totals accordingly.

 

On page 44, line 20, increase the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 2004 by $207,000 and adjust the totals accordingly.

 

On age 44, line 21, increase the general fund--state appropriation for fiscal year 2005 by $871,000 and adjust the totals accordingly.

EFFECT: Increases state-fund appropriations by $5.3 million so that DSHS may continue the current functional eligibility criteria for the COPES and Medicaid Personal Care programs. The underlying budget anticipates that eligibility standards will be tightened, so that a higher level of disability would be required in order to qualify for publicly-funded long-term care.

 

Fiscal Impact: $5.3 Million General Fund-State.
