Strike everything after the enacting clause and insert the following:

"NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 10.97 RCW to read as follows:

Notwithstanding RCW 10.97.040, criminal justice agencies shall provide, to the department of health, criminal history record information pertaining to the arrest, detention, indictment, information, or other formal criminal charge, related to a violation of chapter 9A.32, 9A.44, 9A.60, or 69.50 RCW by a person known by the criminal justice agency to be a physician, within 30 days of such arrest, detention, indictment, information, or other formal criminal charge."

EFFECT: Clarifies duty of criminal justice agencies to report formal charges against physicians to the department of health.
