Background:

 

In 2002 the Legislature passed SHB 2512 relating to uniform regulation of business and professions. One provision of this act added language to RCW 42.44.030, relating to notaries public, that is identical to the language contained in RCW 42.44.040.

 


 

 

Summary of Bill:

 

RCW 42.44.040, which contains language that is identical to a provision of RCW 42.44.030, is repealed.

 


 

 

Appropriation: None.

 

Fiscal Note: Not Requested.

 

Effective Date: The bill takes effect ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.

 

Testimony For: This bill is brought by the Office of the Code Reviser, which has the statutory duty to correct inaccuracies in the code.
