Background:
Inaccuracies in the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) may occur in a variety of ways. Sections may be repealed, recodified or amended in a way that changes their internal numbering, or drafting and typographical errors may be made in the drafting process.
In the 2000 session, the Legislature merged the titles relating to fisheries and wildlife (Titles 75 and 77) into one title, Title 77. Title 75 was recodified, repealed, and/or decodified in its entirety, and some provisions of Title 77 were recodified as new sections or chapters within Title 77. As a result, there are many inaccurate citations throughout the RCW that still reference provisions of Title 75 or provisions of Title 77 that have been recodified.
Summary of Bill:
Various provisions of the Revised Code of Washington are amended to correct inaccurate cross-references that resulted from the recodification, repeal and decodification of Title 75 and the recodification of provisions of Title 77.
