• Allows one pilot representative to be from the Grays Harbor pilotage district or the Puget Sound pilotage district. |

Background:
Currently, the Board of Pilotage Commissioners consists of nine members. These members include the assistant secretary of marine transportation of the Department of Transportation, the director of the Department of Ecology, and seven members appointed by the Governor. Two of these appointed members must be active pilots. One pilot is to be from the Puget Sound District and the second pilot is to be from the Grays Harbor District.
Summary of Bill:
This bill will allow the second pilot to be from the Grays Harbor or Puget Sound District.

Fiscal Note: Not Requested.
Effective Date: The bill takes effect 90 days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
