Majority Report: That Substitute Senate Bill No. 5338 be substituted therefor, and the substitute bill do pass.

Background: The operating and capital expenses of state transportation agencies and programs are funded on a biennial basis by an omnibus transportation budget adopted by the Legislature in odd-numbered years. Additionally, supplemental budgets may be adopted during the biennium making various modifications to agency appropriations.

 

Summary of Substitute Bill: Appropriations are made for state transportation agencies and programs for the 2003-05 fiscal biennium. Additionally, appropriations for various transportation agencies and programs are modified for the 2001-03 biennium.

 

Substitute Bill Compared to Original Bill: The original bill was not considered.

Fiscal Note: Not requested.

 

Effective Date: The 2001-03 supplemental budget takes effect immediately, and the 2003-05 budget takes effect July 1, 2003.
