Background: Campaign finance law requires that the treasurer for a candidate must keep the books of account open for public inspection for at least two consecutive hours between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on the eighth day immediately before election day. For the remaining seven days immediately before election day, the books of account must be open for inspection by appointment.
Summary of Bill: The books of account must be kept open for public inspection by appointment on any day from the eighth day before the election through the day immediately before election day.

Effective Date: Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
