HOUSE RESOLUTION NO.4688, by Representatives Pearson, Hinkle, Dunshee, Orcutt, Woods, Kristiansen, Cooper, Upthegrove, Sump and Buck

     WHEREAS, The families and loved ones of the members of the Armed Services, who reside across the state, have made great sacrifices by supporting and encouraging their Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines to serve the needs of the people of this great State and the United States as a whole; and
     WHEREAS, These families and loved ones endure stress, grief, and heartbreak caused by the separation of deployments and the need of the armed forces to be in harm's way while protecting the freedoms and interests of this great country with little ability to communicate with their loved ones in harm's way; and
     WHEREAS, Many times these families and loved ones endure financial hardships due to loss of wages caused by these deployments. These families and loved ones must also carry the full burden of taking care of households, finances, children, and unforeseen crises, many times without outside help and support of others; and
     WHEREAS, Some families and loved ones have been, and may still be, required to endure the knowledge of serious injury and death among their loved ones currently deployed; and
     WHEREAS, These families and loved ones continue to stand by and support those still deployed in defense of the State of Washington and the United States knowing that their loved ones may be injured or killed in the line of duty;
     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives express its thanks and appreciation to the devoted families and loved ones of those in the service of their country for their support and sacrifice without which the armed forces could not be successful; and
     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives specifically and particularly recognize and express condolences to those families and loved ones who have dealt with the loss or serious injury of a loved one due to their commitment and dedication to serving their country; and
     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be immediately transmitted by the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives to The Adjutant General of the Washington National Guard, the Governor of the State of Washington, the Secretaries of each of the Armed Services, and the President of the United States.

I hereby certify this to be a true and correct copy of
