SB 5780 - DIGEST

Amends RCW 82.14.330 to provide that ten percent shall be distributed on a per capita basis to cities that contract with another governmental agency for the majority of the city's law enforcement services.

Provides that fifty-four percent shall be distributed to cities and towns by the state treasurer on a per capita basis. These funds shall be used for: (1) Innovative law enforcement strategies;

(2) Programs to help at-risk children or child abuse victim response programs;

(3) Programs designed to reduce the level of domestic violence or to provide counseling for domestic violence victims; and

(4) Contracted law enforcement services provided by another governmental agency.

Repeals RCW 82.14.335.
