On page 16, after line 26, insert the following:
"NEW SECTION. Sec. 10 A new section is added to chapter 82.04
RCW to read as follows:
A credit is allowed against tax due under this chapter to employers
for the cost of the provision of mental health services under sections
3, 4, and 5 of this act. The credit is equal to the additional cost to
the employer attributable to the coverage of the mental health services
required by sections 3, 4, and 5 of this act."
Renumber the remaining sections consecutively, correct any internal references accordingly, and correct the title.
EFFECT: Allows for a B&O tax credit for private employers to offset the costs of the parity provisions.
