   On page 2, line 34, strike "consideration shall be given to recently completed, related finance studies" and insert "the committee shall review and evaluate the work of previous education finance studies including, but not limited to:

   (i) the work conducted by the house appropriations subcommittee on education finance structures in 2005 and studies on student transportation and special education resulting from the recommendations of that subcommittee;

   (ii) the house K-12 finance workgroup in 2004;

   (iii) the 2002 joint task force on local effort assistance;

   (iv) the joint legislative fiscal committee on K-12 finance in 1995;

   (v) the joint legislative audit and review committee study of K-12 finance and performance in 1999;

   (vi) the joint legislative audit review committee study on K-12 supplemental contracts in 1997;

   (vii) the joint legislative audit and review committee studies on special education in 1995 and 2001;

   (viii) the washington state institute for public policy study on the special education safety net in 1996;

   (ix) the joint legislative audit and review committee K-12 vocational education funding study in 1996;

   (x) the joint legislative fiscal study committee on K-12 finance of 1995;

   (xi) the joint legislative audit and review committee study on the K-12 transitional bilingual education program in 1992;

   (xii) the washington state institute for public policy on english language learners in K-12 in 2005; and

   (xiii) the joint legislative audit and review committee study on K-12 school bus bidding and purchasing in 2005"

EFFECT: Specifies the previous studies the steering committee must consider.
