   Strike everything after the enacting clause and insert the following:

   "NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 70.170 RCW to read as follows:

   Each hospital shall provide notice to its patients of the hospital's charity care and debt collection policies prior to discharge and upon request."

   Correct the title.

EFFECT: Removes all provisions related to charity care eligibility requirements, notice requirements, and debt collection practices. Requires hospitals to provide notice of its charity care and debt collection policies prior to discharge and upon request.
