   On page 7, beginning on line 12, after "((However,))" strike all material through "section." on line 23

   On page 8, after line 3, insert the following:

   "(c) The department shall review methods to improve the protection and confidentiality of information for recipients of welfare assistance who have disclosed to the department that they are past or current victims of domestic violence or stalking."

EFFECT: Requires the DSHS to review methods to improve confidentiality of information of domestic violence victims receiving public assistance. Language requiring the DSHS to adopt policies and procedures and to consider alternatives to providing the "yes" or "no" answer about whether a person is receiving public assistance is removed.
